Waiting for your Netflix to arrive and nothing's on TV?
You can catch Jim Gilmour, Dave Arnold and myself performing at "The Black Fly Cafe" Manchester, VT's premier virtual music venue. This team of volunteers and professionals puts together a very classy show. It's not your run of the mill cheesy cable music show!
If you live in the Manchester area, it's on channel 15, 16 or 17. If not - go to:

http://www.gnat-tv.org/streaming-video

Check the schedule for times. It's said to be running nightly (8PM)for the next couple of days.
Thanks for supporting live and local!

Support House Concerts & Local Radio! - December 4, 2006

Recently, we hosted a House concert featuring Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson. It was a wonderfully cozy and intimate musical evening. You can't go wrong with Rebecca and Ken singing in your living room!
One of our guests, Maya Costley, is a DJ at WOOL Radio in Bellows Falls. They have a great radio show, called "Sometimes Live", during which they feature local artists and artists passing through the area. This show can be heard all over the world, via podcast, so that is really something isn't it?
Some of the Bondville Boys and myself will be on-air guests on February 6th

B Boys record @ Burnt Hill Studios - November 7, 2006

We began tracking our first studio album last week! (Check out new photos on photo page)

Response to our recently released live CD (available at Northshire Bookstore- Manchester, VT ; Margie's Muse - Jamaica, VT; and Big Heavy World - Burlington, VT) has been extremely happy, with folks expressing an apetite for more.

We are psyched to get these original tunes on to CD and into your hands, hearts and ears by next summer.

In other news, we recently had the cool karmic experience of playing a party at the former estate of Carole King on Music Hill in Canaan, CT. We could feel the history of the artists, writers and hippies that must have sat out in the fields playing to the oak tree filled hills.

The people hosting the party, as well as the guests were super nice and had some very delicious buttery choc chip cookies!

I think that's it for now.

This Cd features one of a kind performances at last summer's First Annual and Final Ever West River Valley Bluegrass Festival.

Yes, we have a reputation for shutting places down, but this time it wasn't our fault.

Anyways, we got a nice recording and we want to share it with you while we work on our first ever studio album (after 15 years).

If you'd like to receive an order form by email, just sign the email list and we'll get one out to you, very soon.

WMRW FM - June 21, 2006

We had such a good time playing on the air Monday night at WMRW.
The drive up Rte 100 through that area was stunning, after a thunderstorm, with huge billowy pink clouds and the quenched green farm land. When we got to the old school house, the sun was setting and the fireflies were just coming out. I felt as if we had just arrived at a friend's home.

Rob Williams, (WWW.ROBWILLIAMSMEDIA.COM )our charming host and DJ, greeted us as we tuned up and made ready to play for the good people of the Mad River Valley.
I urge you to tune in, when you can. CHECK THEIR PROGRAMMING AT WWW.WMRW.ORG
What a cool community radio station! And we got some radical bumper stickers and independent, liberal newspapers as well!

We had so much fun, and would have kept playing but it was time to turn the airwaves over to our French neighbors, and make the dark, windy journey home.

On the way back, we encountered a moose standing in the middle of the road, so we stopped and watched for a bit, 'till he ambled off. We were the only traffic.

Then, the gas light on my dash lit up and I said "oops" because there's not much open at midnight on a Monday in Northern Vermont. But we followed a G.O.D. truck alll the way to Ludlow where we found Cumberland Farms to be "OPEN".

The twenty year old girl behind the counter must have thought I was a wild woman, as I praised her very existence and thanked her for being awake and willing to dispense gasoline.

I had the wonderful company of Becca and Dave, who kept me awake with their own running out of gas stories.
I'm so blessed that they're willing to accompany me on these qurky little journeys, and they make such fine music too...

Soon, a recording of the show will be clickable here.
I believe that you can go to
www.wmrw.org/gmgl.htm
in the meantime, if you want to hear it.
till next time!

Temptations - October 6, 2005

I recently had the remarkable experience of spending a weekend with the Legendary Lead Singers of the Temptations. Saturday night we played to a sold out house (over 800 people) for the Benefit of the Children's hospital in New Milford, CT.
Sunday night we performed at the beautiful and funky historical Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, NY (my home town).
The highlight of both evenings was being invited out to perform the encore "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" with the singers. I was truly honored and ON CLOUD NINE.
See the picture in "Photos" of me and mom with the Temps backstage!

Moon in the Hand of a Girl - July 22, 2005

New CD coming soon, Moon in the Hand of a Girl

The new CD, "Moon..." is on it's way. This group of thirteen songs was originally intended to be a "re-make" of my first release, "Spaghetti Western" (1991). Although it contains the seven songs that were on the original, Spaghetti, this album has taken on a life of it's own. The title track is dedicated to our little girl, Lily Veronica. She is as old as the making of this record, which was started when she was still in utero. So many people have helped make this cd come true. I can say that it's the best one I've made yet, and feel proud of us all! You can sample a tune by going to the "music" page of this website and clicking on "Red Grass Meadow", which is the first track on the new album. Let me know what you think of it!
A limited release will be available on August 6th at the Paramount Theater, where I open for Lou Gramm. For more info. on that event, go to the "calendar" portion of this website
We're wrapping up the final details, and when we have the finished product in hand, you will know! There WIll be a party.
